FAHION PERSONALITY: adaptations to age

Fashion is a wide world, where every person can found his or her own “fashion personality”.

There are different personalities such as “romantic”, “rock”, “vintage” or “Classic”; these styles depends on the age.

For example, the romantic outfit is characterized by pastel colors and brilliant and floral details.

Garments have a soft and elegant line, and the fabrics that can be used are silk, taffetas, tulle and satin.

Every age has a different way of dressing, but this doesn’t mean that women that reach a certain age should stop wearing for example bright colours or tight clothes; it depends on the individual personality and character.

So, we can give you some useful advice:

• You have a double chin? Avoid high necklines, chokers and scarves worn inside blouse/shirt collars. You should wear clothes with lower, open necklines to create the illusion of a longer, slimmer neck.

• If you have slack, flabby upper arms you should wear elbow- length or three- quarter length sleeves in summer and invest in shawls and wraps for strappy evening or summer wear.

In addition, the colours are very important in garments.

People that have a certain age wear more neutral clothes than young people, but there isn’t general a rule.

• The colours suggested for a baby girl are fuxia, pink and violet.

• The colours for a young girl can be white black, pink, light blue, red, gray, so colours that stand out body forms and personality.

• Middle-aged women should choose brown, dark green, gray, black and sometimes white clothes;

• For old women it is better to wear black, dark blue, beige and gray clothes.

Obviously all these choices depends on the individual personality, the character, the culture and habits of people.
